DAY 19 AMERICA HELD HOSTAGE BY FOREIGN OIL WHILE MOORE AND CONGRESS VACATION

Energy should say “Made in the U.S.A.”

A new poll finds that 81% of Americans (both Republican and Democrat) support greater use of domestic energy resources. The people have spoken: it's time to increase American-made energy.

Unfortunately, many elected representatives aren’t listening. Congressman Dennis Moore, for example, has consistently frustrated energy-independence efforts by blocking discussions, voting to raise taxes on American-made energy, voting against drilling, and failing to take positive action on addressing record high prices at the gas pump.

As a state senator with a record of bipartisan achievements and a fellow citizen who's tired of politics-as-usual, I want to go to Congress, wake up Washington, and see a new day for America and Kansas. It’s time for positive action. The people have spoken.
