Dennis Moore won't help fund school bus programs suffering from high
gas prices but he isn't afraid to hop on a bus himself!
Big news. Dennis Moore took a bus today. The Kansas City Star Prime Buzz says he did it “to underscore his preference for an energy policy that strengthens the nation's public transit infrastructure to help wean the United States from its dependence on oil.”
Great. Congressman Moore’s answer to high gas prices is to ride a bus, yet he voted earlier this year to kill funding for school district bus programs suffering from high gas prices. He is clearly out of touch with the average Kansas family's needs.
There are families throughout the 3rd District who depend on personal transportation to make life work. They need a comprehensive energy solution, not just directions to a bus stop. Yet Dennis Moore continues to do nothing about alleviating pain at the pump.
