Kansas City Star: Nick Jordan 'Obvious Choice' to Defeat Dennis Moore

This weekend, the Kansas City Star endorsed Nick Jordan’s Candidacy for the upcoming Primary Election, referring to him as the ‘obvious choice’ to defeat Dennis Moore.

They recognized many of the same qualities that have attracted so much support to Nick’s Campaign:

‘He’s an appealing candidate who understands the importance of economic growth.'

‘Jordan has demonstrated the ability to bridge political divisions.’

Nick has a strong record of accomplishment in the Kansas Senate, proving that he has the ability to be a great Congressman. With your vote in Tuesday’s election, he will be one-step closer to getting to work on the most critical issues facing this Country and Waking up Washington for a new day in this country.

Super Saturday

If you received a knock on your door and a piece of our literature describing Nick’s plans to lower gas prices and strengthen the Economy on Saturday – you weren’t the only one.

Dozens of volunteers joined Nick, taking his positive message of ‘Waking up Washington’ to the voters with phone calls and door-knocking throughout the day. We had shifts starting at 9:30 in the morning and we continued to work hard until the evening.

Knowing that such a strong groundswell of supporters is working on our behalf makes the long hours we’re all putting in so much easier.

Thanks to all the volunteers that helped out Saturday – it was a truly successful day. If you haven’t signed up to help Nick’s Campaign to Wake up Washington, please take a moment now to Join Team Jordan!

Momentum Continues to Grow - 2nd Quarter Fundraising Largest in History

Momentum for Nick’s Campaign is at an all-time high.

Yesterday, we announced that Nick made history in the 2nd Financial Quarter by raising more than any other candidate for Congress has ever raised in Kansas, bringing in $480,000 – almost $150,000 more than his opponent Dennis Moore.

It’s quite clear now that Nick’s message of Waking up Washington is resonating with 3rd District voters. In the coming months, we will continue to reach out to folks who share Nick’s frustration with the tired politicians in Congress and the failed policies they continue to produce.

Help get this next financial quarter off to a good start with your most generous contribution. Together, we can help Nick Jordan Wake up Washington!

Campaign Headquarters Open House

Tonight, we welcomed nearly 130 enthusiastic supporters to the official opening of the Jordan for Congress Campaign Headquarters. Regular folks from all over the 3rd District stopped by to discuss our shared frustration with the broken system in Congress, and discuss with me our ideas to fix it.

Now that the campaign headquarters is officially up and running, members of Team Jordan have already been burning up the phone lines, contacting voters and spreading our message of Waking up Washington.

If you have any time over the next few months, please stop by and help spread the word about ending business-as-usual in Congress. Also, if you haven’t signed up for Team Jordan, please take a moment right now and do so. Thanks for all your support!

Waking Up Washington Tour - Manufacturing in Lenexa

This morning, we visited a local manufacturing plant, Ink-cycle in Lenexa. They employ over 500 local workers and are responsible for 700,000 ink cartridges per month! It's these types of local businesses that help grow our economy and provide jobs. Our representatives in Congress should be focused on helping them grow - not holding them back.

I've posted a video update from our visit to Ink-Cycle. We'll be periodically posting clips from our stops around the 3rd District. Please continue to visit us here at WakingupWashington.com to keep up-to-date on our campaign. Also, if you haven't joined Team Jordan, please take a moment to do so now.

Thanks for all your support!

Happy Independence Day from Team Jordan

This afternoon, I joined with some enthusiastic members of Team Jordan both to spread the Campaign’s positive message of waking up Washington and to celebrate the 4th of July. The 4th truly is one of my favorite holidays. With so much patriotism and good cheer in the air – how couldn’t it be?

I was very proud of the group of supporters we brought together to celebrate Independence Day. Right off the bat, I thought we had the largest and most energetic group in attendance at the 4th of July parade in Lenexa. Apparently, I wasn’t alone. As we passed the parade grand-stand, the master of ceremonies even referred to Team Jordan as ‘the largest group of supporters ever’ at the Lenexa parade. Linda, my beautiful wife, joined us for the 4th of July fun as well. We’re both so grateful for all of the tremendous supporters that have joined the campaign, including the dozens who walked with us today.

If you have not already signed up for Team Jordan, please take a minute to do so.

While there’s so very much to be proud of on this 4th of July, there’s much work left ahead. We need leaders in Congress willing to stand up for the great ideals on which America was founded. With your support on Election Day, that, my friends, is exactly what I intend to do. It is my sincere hope that you have a fun-filled 4th and a relaxing weekend.

Best wishes,
Nick Jordan

Nick Jordan's 'Energy Independence Day'

This morning, Nick Jordan joined 5,300 fellow Kansans in a ‘Tele-Town Hall’ conference call, discussing rising gas prices, energy and the need to get America’s economy back on track with every day people in the 3rd Congressional District.

The ‘Tele-Town Hall’ was the focal point of the Jordan Campaign’s ‘Energy Independence Day,’ which was designed to give Nick the opportunity to directly interact with thousands of voters about their concerns and ideas to solve our energy crisis.

The phone call, as well as the remainder of the day, was a resounding success. Voters seemed pleasantly surprised at the opportunity to voice their frustrations with Congress’ failed policies on energy and the economy. Nick was happy to hear those concerns and provide the solutions he’ll work for in Congress, including a comprehensive and innovative energy policy.
